Sample Video: TQUK Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (QCF) blended part one course introduction

This is the online part of the regulated qualification.  You must complete the part two practical lesson before your regulated certificate can be issues.

This accredited qualification provides learners with skills to further their first aid training. It is recommended for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator.

Those gaining this qualification will know that cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation form an essential part of the chain of survival.  The recommended course duration is 1 day with a minimum of 6 contact hours.  This course can be taken as a blended course using our video online training to halve the classroom time.

The topics covered by this qualification are regarded by Skills for Health as being important in maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation.

All successful students will be issued with a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation Certificate, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their achievement.  To comply with current requirements in the medical, dental, care sector and to meet the AED recommendations of the UK Resuscitation Council guidelines, you must take this qualification again after one year.  Please contact ProTrainings for further information.

All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements.

This qualification is currently assessed by practical demonstration and written or oral questioning.

Please be advised that the classroom course has a minimum age requirement of 16.

This course can be completed as the online part 1 of a 2-part blended course. After completing this online course, you may find and attend the classroom-only part 2 course and cut down on the number of days spent in the classroom.

This course gives learners the opportunity to gain a formally recognised regulated qualification. If you require funding, a regulated qualification is often required. Phone us and we can advise if needed. If you choose our course leading to a regulated qualification, there are additional assessment criteria to be undertaken with an instructor and a small extra certification charge.
